We are truly excited to welcome Stephen Edgar as a Web Engineer to Human Made!
Those who have been around the WordPress contributor community will almost certainly be familiar with Stephen’s WordPress.org username @netweb. He has been a bbPress developer and committer for years, as well as a WordPress, Gutenberg and BuddyPress Build/Test Tools component maintainer. From Core, Meta, Documentation and Gutenberg Contributor to Plugin Developer to Translation Editor to Meetup Organiser, there are few contributing badges Stephen’s profile doesn’t show.
Stephen is no stranger to our Engineering team as well; he has contracted for Human Made on multiple occasions in the past, and it is a tremendous pleasure to welcome him as a permanent team member today. Welcome, Stephen!

I’m ecstatic to be joining Human Made, having known many of the company’s team members through contributing to WordPress as well as personally through my involvement in the Australian WordPress community. I have been fortunate to have had an outside-in view of Human Made, the company and the people, before joining, and now I’m a part of the team in a company with people that I admire and respect dearly.
Previously to joining Human Made, I ran my own IT Consulting firm ‘Netweb Interactive’ for about 25 years, specialising in Microsoft Server Architecture. So this is both, a change in career and an exciting new challenge in my life.
I look forward to working on the diverse scope of projects alongside some of the most talented WordPress experts around.
