Matthew Haines-Young

Matthew is an Engineering Manager. He joined Human Made as the first full-time employee back in 2011, so he's seen the company grow into the large global & remote team that it is today. Matthew has worked with some of the largest media organisations in the world and he's passionate about building better publishing tools and using WordPress to enable authors to write great content. With a background as a WordPress engineer, he's got deep knowledge across the whole stack whether that's front-end architecture and optimisation, working with complex JavaScript applications or dealing with the challenges of developing sites with a huge amounts of content. Prior to joining Human Made, worked as a freelance developer and studied European Politics, Society and Economics at the University of Birmingham.
