Commitment

Human Made is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of this website and in doing so, adhere to many of the available standards and guidelines.

Scope

This statement applies to the website humanmade.com, excluding any subdomains.

The content and code of the subdomains like handbook.hmn.md, engineering.hmn.md are currently in revision. The accessibility of these sites will be improved on at a later date, so they meet the required level of accessibility.

Guidelines and Standards

Human Made aims for our website to conform to level Double-A of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 (WCAG 2 AA). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to as many people as possible. Conformance with these guidelines will help make the web more user-friendly for all people.

This website is developed and tested against the last two versions of every major web browser (excluding IE 10) using code compliant with W3C standards for HTML and CSS, in order to maintain compatibility with future versions of web browsers.

Known Issues

• Some text (red on grey) doesn’t meet the colour contrast ratio of 4.5
• The use of ARIA in the world chart showing the location of company employees can be improved on
• The order form to download the Gutenberg white paper is not reachable for a keyboard or for a screen reader
• The PDFs used on this website are not completely accessible for screen readers yet

We are actively working on fixing these issues.
