Please join us in welcoming Sumaiya Gangat as a People Coordinator at Human Made! Sumaiya holds a university degree in Marketing Communications and has worked on a number of projects in the not-for-profit and public sector before taking a five-year career break to spend time raising her children. During that time, she taught herself WordPress and published her own blog, WP Mum.
Sumaiya is a passionate advocate for inclusivity of women in tech. It is our sincere pleasure to have her joining our growing People Operations team – welcome, Sumaiya!
Thank you, Tom and the Human Made family, for such a warm welcome. I’m thrilled to be joining Human Made and feel blessed to be working for an organisation with such an inspirational working culture.
It’s always been a bit of a dream to work for an organisation that truly values its people, respects their life choices, and encourages professional development and career progression. When I came across Human Made, I was blown away by the culture and values of the organisation, and to have seen it instilled during my trial and my first week has been really exciting.
I distinctly remember sitting in the HR and People modules of my degree course and thinking how I would love to play a part in supporting and developing an organisations people team and helping to support a people-focused work culture. Up until now, I’ve not come across an organisation that would support me to balance my career goals as well as family life, but now is the time to make this a reality – and what a perfect place to do it! It’s funny how things fall into place in their own time and in their own way.
I can’t wait to get stuck in and start working with the inspirational People Ops Team, supporting the team, learning from my colleagues, and supporting the wonderful humans here at Human Made.
