We’re really excited to welcome Ant Miller to Human Made as our Commercial Director. Ant brings a vast amount of experience in the agency and media space and will be focused on really levelling up the commercial side of our agency. Ant joins us from well known UK based design agency Clearleft where he held a similar role as their Director of New Business. In addition to some of the fantastic work he was involved in there, he also brings a ton of big media and enterprise experience from an 11 year stint at the BBC where he held a variety of roles. We’re really excited at the opportunities ahead as WordPress continues to push into the Enterprise and couldn’t be more thrilled to be able to work with Ant and the rest of our growing team to make sure Human Made is leading the charge. Welcome Ant!
I’m super excited to join the team at Human Made; big thanks to Tom and everyone else for the warm welcome!
I’ve come to Human Made from the world of User Experience design and broadcast technology – far from the development focus and engineering expertise of this crew. However, I am used to working with teams who are the best there are, and Human Made are up there with the ‘BBC’s and ‘Clearleft’s of this world when it comes to commitment to quality and a passion for their craft.
This team spans the world, but it’s also enormously supportive and collegial – I’m already learning stacks, and hopefully sharing my varied experience too. I’m not sure how I’ll factor in flying robots, but certainly collaborative innovation and a focus on the R&D end of coding are once again core parts of my working life.
We want to build on the company’s great success with media and publishing, and continue to prove the viability and value of professionally developed WordPress for the Enterprise. It’s great to be a part of a team on a mission, and part of a wider open source community that is committed to democratising the web. That, and doing great work for clients all over the world. This’ll be fun!
